As I scored 93.8% (particularly 95/100 in Social Science) in my Class 10th Boards 2020, I think I can answer this question.
More important than this score, I am guiding many students for class 10th on our YouTube Channel. I have made the strategy for students with help of my seniors and teachers.
First of all, you should know which maps you have to study. Many students are unaware of the fact that CBSE releases a list of maps from which questions will be asked in the board exams. According to the revised syllabus for session 2021–22, the following maps will be asked in the term 1 examinations.
Chapter 1: Resources and Development
Major soil Types.
Chapter 3: Water Resources
Dams:
- (1) Salal
- (2) Bhakra Nangal
- (3) Tehri
- (4) Rana Pratap Sagar
- (5) Sardar Sarovar
- (6) Hirakud
- (7) Nagarjuna Sagar
- (8) Tungabhadra. (Along with rivers)
Chapter 4: Agriculture
(a) Major areas of Rice and Wheat.
(b) Largest / Major producer states of Sugarcane; Tea; Coffee; Rubber; Cotton and Jute.
Now, talking about how would you remember those maps. It's very simple. Just bring out some blank maps and plot each of these maps at least 4 - 5 times. You will easily memorize them.
As the pattern of the term 1 exam is MCQ-based, hence map-based questions will also be in MCQ form. So, practicing those types of questions from a relevant question bank is also very important.
